Random Wisdom
Brotherly love is not a tangible commodity. We cannot touch it or weigh it, smell it of taste it. Yet it is a reality; it can be creative, it can be fostered, it can be made a dynamic power. The Master who has it in his Lodge and his brethren will find that Lodge and brethren give it back to him. The Master too worried over the cares of his office to express friendliness need never wonder why his Lodge seems too cold to his effort.

Brethren,
I am sorry I was unable to attend the dinner last night, having furnace issues at my home since Sunday which finally where completed last night.
I just got the wonderful news that our dinner brought in $200.00, this is a great thing thank you to all of the members and guests that attended, and a special thank you to JW Wasburn for hosting the February Dinner!
I was also informed that we have recieved $300.00 so far towards our building fund from the item placed in the newsletter. This will help with all of the building repairs and matinece we are trying to accomplish this year.
We still have a long way to go and I would like to thank each Brother that has so far contributed to this effort.

Just wanted to say what a great turn-out Saturday. We had some boys from the DeMolay who showed up to help clean-up the Lodge and help where ever they could. From all the Brethren of the Lodge we would like to thank you for your help.
And to all the Brethren that came out to clean I would like to personally say thanks and job well done! I know with the dedication and care that was shown this Saturday we will prevail and bring back the members! We will also have fun doing it too.
A congratulations is in order for Brother Paul Weyandt for a very sucessful fellowship dinner that he put on in January. And I look forward to the one that Brother Andy Washburn will be hosting this month. Hope to see alot of people there! If my memory is correct I believe W.M. Jim Tournas will be bringing his cornhole game. So lets put our overalls on and have some fun!
Another congratulations is also in order to Brother Jim Hieb for putting together Stonington Lodge’s first newsletter in 3 years! Great job Brother Hieb! Everyone should be receiving one in the mail shortly, they were mailed out Saturday. If you don’t get one or you would like to be on the mailing list please contact me at crhennes@oh.rr.com and provide your email address and contact information.

Thank you to all the officers who attended last night, a few things to remember.
1. If you have not passed on your “leadership” book please bring it with you Tuesday for our meeting.
2. We have recieved two quotes on repairing the Basement, the cheaper of the two companies came out and discussed their process with us. We will be discussing this on Tuesday at our meeting.
3. Tuesday will be a FC Degree, with SW Paul presiding in the East.
4. This Saturday Feb 7th will be Clean up day, please bring whatever cleaning supplies you have or think we will need, or agreed to bring. I will also be travelling with RWB Behner to present two award pins at 1pm, any who can make it please plan on attending with us.
5. Discussing the Lectures, I have decided to ask each officer to learn something of their own choosing from one of the degrees. Your options are
one of the lectures, one of the charges, the G lecture or the Apron presentation.
6. Our Open House planning is coming along nicely, Thank you to Brother Hieb, Brother Washburn and Brother Spears for providing the program. Each officer is asked to bring some baked goods for snacks.
7. After the discussion on the basement, the next thing on building agenda will be our dinning room floor, I will have a quote prepared shortly.
I’m sure there was more but this is all I remember off the top of my head.
